OSMU Continues to Strengthen its International Career Guidance Initiatives in Central Asia

OSMU continues to strengthen its international career guidance initiatives in Central Asia, actively participating in a series of educational exhibitions in Kazakhstan.

As part of a working visit, OSMU was showcased at the Russian education exhibition «Study in Russia» and the III International «Eurasian Education Exhibition» held in Kazakhstan. During these events, Prof. Vladimir V. RUSAKOV, MD, Dr Sci (in Medicine), Head of the Pre-University Training Center, and Tatiana A. GANYAEVA, Head of the Career Guidance Sector, presented the University’s academic programs, highlighted study opportunities, and engaged directly with prospective applicants.

The exhibitions were organized with the support of Rossotrudnichestvo and the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of Russia as part of the «Education Export» initiative. The events covered multiple cities across Kazakhstan, including Astana, Ust-Kamenogorsk, Semey, Pavlodar, Ekibastuz, and Karaganda, enabling outreach to a broad and diverse audience.

At the exhibitions, prospective students actively inquired about admission procedures, academic programs at both OSMU and OSMU College, as well as student life. Attendees explored various admission pathways available after completing the 9th or 11th grade. The most motivated applicants subscribed to OSMU’s social media channels and received informational materials and university-branded souvenirs.

Participation in such initiatives represents a natural continuation of OSMU’s systematic efforts to promote Russian education abroad. Beyond advising prospective students, these platforms also provide valuable opportunities for universities to discuss and develop future inter-institutional cooperation.
