The Faculty of Preventive Medicine hosted the educational event «Health Dictation». Future specialists tested their knowledge of the rational use of digital devices and the prevention of related health risks.
The event was held as part of the «Sanprosvet» project, which is included in the federal project «Sanitary Shield of the Country - Health Safety (Prevention, Detection, Response)», and project of Interregional Association of Economic Cooperation of the Federal Subjects «Siberian Agreement» «Siberian School - Territory of Health», with the participation of social partners.
This year’s topic was «Using Digital Devices Rationally». Participants answered questions on how to protect the eyes from the negative effects of screens, what «text neck» is and how to prevent it, how much screen time is optimal for children and adults, and how to stop getting stuck on social media and regain focus.
Following the test, each participant received a review of their mistakes with expert explanations, as well as a personalized certificate confirming participation. In total, more than 250 people took part in the event. For students of the Faculty of Preventive Medicine, this event was not only a knowledge test, but also an opportunity to practice the skills they will later share with the population as part of their future professional work.
