On July 27, 2023, OSMU hosted a visit of a delegation from the Chui Region, Kyrgyz Republic, including Kanat S. DZHUMAGAZIEV, Representative of the President of the Kyrgyz Republic in the Chui Region, Almazbek A. OSMONOV, Head of the Issyk-Ata District State Administration in the Chui Region, and Nursultan ISABEK UULU, Honorary Consul of the Kyrgyz Republic in Omsk.
The visit of the delegation strengthens developing relations between OSMU and Universities in the Kyrgyz Republic established over the past three years. During their visits to the Kyrgyz Republic, OSMU representatives visited the scientific and educational institutions, held meetings with the administration and scientists, and discussed avenues of further cooperation. As a result of these meetings, collaboration agreements were signed with the B.N. Yeltsin Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University, and Osh State University.
New directions for the development of long-term partnership were outlined today by Ivan G. SHTEINBORM, First Vice-Rector of OSMU. The meeting with the administration of the Chui Region, Kyrgyz Republic, also highlighted areas of mutual interest. OSMU was represented by Prof. Assoc. Andrey S. KOLCHIN, MD, PhD, Vice-Rector for Postgraduate Education of OSMU, and Konstantin Yu. CHULOVSKII, Deputy Minister of Economics of the Omsk Region. They discussed the prospects of academic mobility, professional development programs for staff of Kyrgyz Republic Medical Universities, and a future of online-education.
