On May 29, 2026, the OSMU Department of Biology held the National Scientific Conference for Students and Teachers «Ecology and Public Health».
The Conference brought together students and academic staff from OSMU, Ryazan State Medical University, Tyumen State Medical University, Nizhnevartovsk State University, and V. Soldatov Tobolsk Medical College.
The aim of the Conference was to raise environmental awareness among students and promote the development of ecological knowledge. Participants presented reports in three main areas: human ecology and bioelementology, current issues of food safety, and environmental biosafety.
In addition to in-person presentations by students and teachers, video reports from other medical universities were also presented. All participants showed strong interest and active engagement in the discussions. Students asked thoughtful and in-depth questions, shared their views, and proposed possible solutions to the issues discussed.
Such events help broaden students’ academic horizons and generate new ideas for further research. The organizers thanked all participants of the Conference and wished them continued scientific success.
