From March 4th to 7th, the National Medical Volunteer Forum took place in Moscow, gathering together 300 attendees, including regional coordinators, leaders of local branches within the Medical Volunteer movement, as well as over 60 officials representing state authorities from various Russian Regions in healthcare and higher education.
During the Forum's opening ceremony, Tatiana V. SEMENOVA, Deputy Minister of Health of the Russian Federation, relayed a message from President Vladimir V. PUTIN to the Medical Volunteer community.
«I have full confidence that Medical Volunteers will expand the breadth of their activities, concentrating on implementing valuable projects in society. I wish you success in this challenging yet pivotal endeavor», wrote President Vladimir V. PUTIN in his correspondence.
The Omsk Region's delegation included Ilya N. EKIMOV, Coordinator of the Omsk Regional Branch, Irina E. SIKHVART, Deputy Regional Coordinator, and Kristina M. PRONINA, Coordinator of the «First Aid Training and Event Support» Direction. The Forum provided platforms for volunteers, organized into four sections, where participants deliberated significant matters concerning the development of volunteer movement in national healthcare. Forum attendees and the Omsk regional group were praised for their volunteer work, which was acknowledged as some of the best in the country.
Within the Forum's framework, project presentations occurred during the Rosmolodezh.Grants competition. Despite stiff competition, the Omsk volunteers' project emerged victorious! The grant for the «School of Future Parents «Family Academy»» project, authored by Irina E. SIKHVART, a 6th-year student at the OSMU Faculty of Pediatrics, totals 448 thousand rubles. The project aims to enhance the medical knowledge of students in the Omsk Region regarding reproductive health preservation and newborn care essentials. It will feature a series of educational lectures, master classes, flash mobs, and the «Omsk Region - Territory of Family Values!» festival.
Forum participants and Omsk Medical Volunteers express gratitude to the Ministry of Youth Affairs, Sports, and Physical Culture of the Omsk Region for their invaluable support and opportunities provided!
