As part of the International Olympiad «Battle of Dentists», held at I. K. Akhunbaev Kyrgyz State Medical Academy, a significant educational initiative was implemented aimed at enhancing students’ professional competencies and strengthening interuniversity academic cooperation. Such events not only provide a platform for scientific dialogue but also create a unique educational environment that fosters the development of clinical thinking in future doctors.
Prof. Irina M. VOLOSHINA, DMD, Dr Sci (in Medicine), Professor of the OSMU Department of Preventive Dentistry, delivered a series of lectures for dental students and residents of the Department of Preventive Dentistry. The lectures were distinguished by a strong clinical focus, clear structure, and profound scientific depth, enabling participants not only to update their knowledge but also to gain new insights into key aspects of modern preventive dentistry.
The lectures addressed the clinical features and treatment of early-stage dental caries, emphasizing individualized approaches, early diagnosis, and minimally invasive techniques. Special attention was given to oral health education, patient compliance, and the promotion of preventive care, highlighting the dentist’s role as both clinician and educator.
The sessions generated strong professional interest among the audience, encouraged open discussion, and contributed to the establishment of a positive and engaging educational environment.
