On November 4th, on the Day of People's Unity, the results of the 2nd Russian Rosmolodezh Contest in 2023 were announced. OSMU representatives became winners of the grant competition!
Anastasia AVDEYCHEVA, a general dental practitioner, a 2023 graduate student, and an active member of the «Smile» dental volunteer movement, has received grant support for her project «Dental School for Blind and Visually Impaired Children «Seeing with Our Hands!», supervised by Irina M. VOLOSHINA, DMD, PhD, Assoc. Prof. of the Department of Preventive Dentistry.
The project aims to deliver educational sessions for children with special needs and their parents. During these sessions, volunteers will provide insights into dental conditions and the importance of preventive care. Volunteers will distribute brochures on proper oral health and 3D models of teeth embossed with Braille for a better understanding of dental anatomy. All materials will be accessible on the Internet. The project's partner is the Omsk Regional Division of Medical Volunteers. The grant support size is 232,000 rubles.
We congratulate the winner of the grant competition on a landslide victory! Social project implementation is one of the priority goals in OSMU's youth policy.
