A delegation from OSMU, headed by Prof. Maria A. LIVZAN, MD, Dr Sci (in Medicine), Rector of OSMU, Corresponding Member of RAS, took part in the International Forum «Eurasian Dialogue: Healthcare of the Irtysh Region».
At the round table dedicated to interregional cooperation between Russia and Kazakhstan, moderated by Dmitry A. MARKELOV, Minister of Health of the Omsk Region, OSMU was represented by Prof. Maria A. LIVZAN, MD, Dr Sci (in Medicine), Rector of OSMU; Oleg V. LEONOV, MD, Dr Sci (in Medicine), Prof. Asst. of the Department of Oncology and Radiotherapy, including Postgraduate Training Courses, Deputy Chief Doctor for Surgical Care at the Clinical Oncology Center; Denis A. FEDOROV, MD, PhD (in Medicine), Prof. Asst. of the Department of Pediatric Surgery and Reproductive Health for Children and Adolescents, Deputy Chief Doctor for Pediatric Surgery at the Regional Children’s Clinical Hospital; and Irina V. SAVELIEVA, MD, Dr Sci (in Medicine), Head of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology № 1.
As part of the Forum’s cultural and educational program, guests from Pavlodar, East Kazakhstan, North Kazakhstan, and Abai Regions visited the OSMU Main Building, which is recognized as an architectural heritage monument of regional significance.
Representatives of government bodies, business circles, scientific communities, and educational organizations of Kazakhstan showed sincere and lively interest not only in the key historical milestones of our medical university, but also in the exhibition of OSMU innovative projects presented by the Department for Innovation Development and R&D Support.
For our University, the International Forum «Eurasian Dialogue: Healthcare of the Irtysh Region» became an opportunity to exchange experience in education, the implementation of joint additional educational programs, collaborative research, and the introduction of research results into practice.
The development of a global logistics ecosystem and new horizons for Russian-Kazakh cooperation are especially important for the Omsk Region, particularly in the context of current challenges and the need to strengthen interregional partnership.
