On the 22nd of April, 2020 OSMU Rector Maria A. LIVZAN had a meeting with the University’s Management, the Governor of Omsk Region Alexander L. BURKOV and the Minister of Public Health in Omsk Region Irina G. SOLDATOVA.
During the meeting, the participants agreed upon the joint plan of action of the University and Omsk Region to fight against COVID-19 within the implementation of “University-Region” federal project.
On the 27th of April, 2020 a live training webinar for the medical specialists of healthcare organizations was held at the Ministry of Public Health in Omsk Region. It was devoted to the provision of medical assistance to patients suffering from COVID-19 and people at risk. The key issues to be discussed were the following: improvement of medical establishments’ work based on saving technologies, diagnostics and clinical pattern of COVID-19, epidemiological safety and usage of personal protection clothes in medical organizations.
The Consultation and Resource Center was founded in OSMU to help Omsk healthcare organizations prevent and reduce the risk of COVID-19 spread.
The Omsk State Medical University and the Ministry of Public Health in Omsk Region constantly cooperate on some other spheres, such as graduate employability and volunteers’ work.
