On May 28, 2026, the final results of the IX season of the National Student Olympiad «I Am a Professional» were announced. The Olympiad is one of the flagship projects of the presidential platform «Russia - Land of Opportunity».
The National Student Olympiad «I Am a Professional» is a large-scale competition for students of Russian universities. It is designed to assess both theoretical knowledge and applied competencies. The main goal of the project is to support students from various fields of study, giving them the opportunity to continue their education at leading Russian universities and undertake internships offered by the Olympiad’s major partner companies. More than 837000 participants from 1109 universities in Russia and neighboring countries registered for the competition and tested their knowledge in one or several of the 70 available fields.
In the completed season, 7997 students from universities of the Omsk Region took part in the Olympiad, including 1107 students of OSMU.

OSMU known for its leading academic and research schools, was entrusted with co-organizing the Olympiad for future preventive medicine specialists in the Siberian Federal District.
Due to the scale of the project, the Olympiad was held in several stages. The first stage, the registration period, took place in September and October 2025. Students of Russian universities submitted their applications on the official website of the Olympiad. The online qualifying stage was held in November, followed by the semifinals in March and the in-person final in April.
Depending on their scores, diploma holders of the Olympiad are ranked as prize winners, winners, or medalists. All of them will be able to benefit from admission privileges when applying for master’s, postgraduate, and residency programs at leading Russian universities. They will also receive comprehensive career guidance from the Olympiad and its partners, ranging from CV preparation to group career and psychological counseling. These opportunities help students launch their careers at some of the country’s top companies - partners of the «I Am a Professional» Olympiad. Gold, silver, and bronze medalists receive cash awards ranging from 100000 to 300000 rubles.
For several years in a row, students of the OSMU Faculty of Preventive Medicine have won prizes in this project. The current season was no exception.
