The student scientific society team of the OSMU Department of Phthisiology, Pulmonology and Infectious Diseases «PhthisiAsenses» became a prize winner and received awards in individual categories at the Interregional Olympiad «Tuberculosis and Public Health in Modern Society» (February 26-March 19, 2026, Barnaul, Altai State Medical University).
Prof. Irina I. SHEREMETYEVA, MD, Dr Sci (in Medicine), Rector of Altai State Medical University, expressed her gratitude to Prof. Maria A. LIVZAN, MD, Dr Sci (in Medicine), Corresponding Member of RAS, OSMU Rector, for the active participation of OSMU students in the Olympiad. Appreciation was also extended to the staff of the Department of Phthisiology, Pulmonology and Infectious Diseases: Prof. A. V. MORDYK, MD, Dr Sci (in Medicine), Head of the Department, for her contribution as a jury member, and Valentina I. GUSINA, Prof. Asst. of the Department, for preparing the team. The high level of OSMU students’ training in phthisiology was particularly noted. The University was represented by Violetta V. SOKOLOVA (team captain), Elena A. MAYOROVA, Valeriya S. GUREEVA, Karina R. RAKHMATOVA, Alina V. PALENYKH, and Milena R. SARIPOVA.
The OSMU team took 2nd place and was awarded the Second Degree Diploma, along with additional honors in special nominations, including «Creative Approach» (Stage I: Team Presentation) and «Excellence in Clinical Case Presentation» (Stage IV: Conference on Current Issues in Phthisiology).
