OSMU Students Participated in the Volunteer Forum and Won Two Grants!


 From October 19 to 22, a regional Volunteer Forum of the Siberian and Far Eastern Districts was held in Khabarovsk. It was aimed at creating a platform for interaction with volunteers and exchanging experience with participants from different regions, obtaining and applying knowledge and tools for volunteer management, and developing personal competencies in various fields. The forum brought together 300 representatives of volunteer organizations.
 
OSMU was represented by Medical Volunteers, students of the Faculty of Pediatrics: Yana KAPINA, Daria IGNATCHIK, and Danil LOGINOV. Previously, within the framework of the District Forum for Medical Volunteers, two OSMU projects were announced the winners of the the Grant Competition by Rosmolodezh. One of them was the project by Yana KAPINA called «School team competition «The Future of Medicine». The goal of this project is to create conditions for the development of school teams of medical volunteers in Omsk by conducting a series of workshops and competitive events for 120 schoolchildren. Based on the results of the competition, the three best teams of medical volunteers will be awarded! The grant amount for the project is 280 thousand rubles.
 
The other winning project was «Young Parents School «Towards children’s health» by Daria IGNATCHIK. It involves holding training schools in the format of parent lectures, creating Q&A videos from pediatricians on the most common questions about child care, education, and disease prevention. These lectures will be published freely online. Event participants will also receive specially designed information cards. The grant amount for the project is 230 thousand rubles.
