OSMU Students Received Grant Support

 
The results of a grant competition held during the Regional «RHYTHM» Youth Forum have been announced. The Forum took place from July 17 to 22 in the Omsk Region. OSMU students presented projects aimed at disease prevention and the development of the student community. Two social projects by OSMU students received grant support.
 
The «Open Preventive Lecture Series «OncoGuard»» project led by Polina PLUKCHI, a 6th-year student of the Faculty of Pediatrics, aims to raise public awareness of cancer prevention. The project team plans to conduct a series of educational lectures and workshops for students in the Omsk region, along with an oncology quiz. The project received a grant of 147,000 rubles.
 
Kristina KUATOVA, a 5th-year student of the Faculty of General Medicine, authored the second winning project, «Board Game Club «Go!»». The project team will establish a board games club at OSMU to reduce students' psychosocial stress and enhance soft skills of future doctors. The grant support for this project amounted to 85,000 rubles.
 
Congratulations to the grant competition winners and the project teams! Social project development is a top priority in OSMU's youth policy. In the recent period, OSMU students have collectively received nearly 2 million rubles to support their social initiatives!
