Once again, 1st-year students enrolled in specialist and master’s degree programs at OSMU took part in the VII National «Entrance Testing - 2026» initiative, held from September 3 to October 15. This year, the initiative brought together 1,169 higher and secondary vocational education institutions from Russia and neighboring countries. A total of 121,590 test attempts were recorded during the initiative. The initiative has now become an established part of the educational process at OSMU.
The leading participants included educational institutions representing a wide range of fields. The list featured Pedagogical University, Technical University, Law Academy, OSMU, and colleges specializing in various areas. OSMU was also among the leaders.
At OSMU, testing was conducted in biology, Russian history, chemistry, physics, computer science, English, and psychology. The entrance testing provided an objective assessment of students’ knowledge, helped identify those requiring additional support, and made it possible to address potential academic difficulties at an early stage. The initiative also contributed to greater student engagement with digital learning by using a familiar online format. Overall, participation in «Entrance Testing - 2026» helped the University effectively organize the educational process from the very beginning of the semester.
