November 20 is a Pediatrician’s Day. The history of the holiday is associated with the celebration of World Children's Day. As per UN General Assembly's request, World Children’s Day was first established in 1954 as Universal Children's Day when all UN member states adopted the Declaration of the Rights of the Child. Many countries started to celebrate this wonderful holiday on the same day as Pediatrician's Day aimed at to promote international togetherness, awareness among children worldwide, and improving children's welfare.
A Pediatrician is the first doctor to protect a kid’s health, ensuring the well-being of a child from the first days of life. Health of a child is a main priority for each parent, and a Pediatrician becomes a companion along the way for a long time. In the broad sense, a Pediatrician is a guardian for the family, society, and the country.
