The film “Professions of the Future” had its online premiere on International Children’s Day in Russia. The characters of the film are ambitious school children: Kirill is working on an artificial intelligence, Sasha is making robots, Kristina is inventing telephone charging from a human body, Julia is launching an industrial drone, and Misha is creating IT-startup facilitating preparation for Unified State Exams. They compete with each other, think up a university of the future, travel, and tell people what’s in store for them in years to come. This film is a wonderful gift for youngsters at the end of their difficult school year. It can inspire and motivate them for further deliberate studies and achieving state-of-the-art results.
Apart from the content, the film is innovative in its form: one of the project’s “characters” has become an artificial intelligence. Such kind of techniques has been applied in the Russian documentary filmmaking for the first time.
The main characters of the film come from different regions of the country. The team of the project screened the film in the Urals, Far East, Moscow, St. Petersburg. They visited the Russian Quantum Center, worked in a futuristic atmosphere of the Forum “Open Innovations”, and were also guests at the opening ceremony in 20.35 NTI University which is famous for its high-tech futuristic projects in the sphere of education.
By the beginning of a new academic year the authors of the project are planning to release the film “Professions of the Future 2” and this summer they are getting down to the shooting of “Professions of the Future 3”.
