On October 30, the conference "Lecture Hall of the Russian Association for Non-communicable Disease Control and Prevention", organized by the Russian Society of Physicians, was held at OSMU. Key topics of the conference included healthcare organization, disease prevention, and treatment of patients with chronic diseases.
The opening ceremony was attended by Prof. Oksana M. DRAPKINA, MD, Dr Sci (in Medicine), RAS Academician, Head of the National Medical Research Center for Therapy and Preventive Medicine of the Russian Ministry of Health, Yury A. MARTYNOV, Deputy Minister of Health of the Omsk Region, and Prof. Maria A. LIVZAN, MD, Dr Sci (in Medicine), OSMU Rector, Corresponding Member of RAS, Chief Specialist in Therapy of the Ministry of Health of Russia for the Siberian Federal District, Chairperson of the Omsk Regional Branch of the Russian Association for Non-communicable Disease Control and Prevention.
The reports focused on improving primary health care, the work of health centers, diagnosing risk factors for chronic diseases, rational nutrition, and clinical monitoring. Particular attention was paid to nutritional issues among adults in Western Siberia.
The final event was a master class titled "New Generation Specialists," aimed at improving the skills of physicians in the diagnosis and treatment of patients with cardiovascular diseases, diabetes, and coronary heart disease. The "Gold Standard" team, composed of second-year endocrinologists, internists, and cardiologists, won the knowledge competition among residents.
The event contributed to the development of professional competencies among young physicians and supported the development of scientific collaboration in medicine.
