To enhance the quality of life, Saint Petersburg State Chemical and Pharmaceutical University (SPCPU) and the coworking space «Boiling Point - Omsk» have joined forces to bring technological developments to the market.
The collaboration began with the launch of the acceleration program «ChemPharmValley», which involves over 500 young scientists from Omsk and Saint Petersburg.
The goal of this acceleration program is to develop and implement new products and technologies in critical areas such as healthcare and the agro-food industry. The imposition of anti-Russian sanctions and the urgent need for import substitution have significantly increased the demand for domestic innovations in sectors such as HealthNet and FoodNet. To seize promising opportunities in both the global and domestic markets, several major Russian companies - including «Gazpromneft-Industrial Innovations», «Pharmasintez», Medical and Biological Research and Production Complex «Cytomed», «Tatneft», «Nordena», and others - have joined the «ChemPharmValley» initiative. These companies are committed to provide comprehensive support for the development of new technologies and products, including production facilities, funding, and access to specialized expertise. For example, «ARIS GROUP+» is offering consulting and financial support to accelerate the market entry of strategic products like hemostatic materials, assisting in the creation of product prototypes, and obtaining necessary regulatory approvals. Thus, «ChemPharmValley» has established a nurturing environment for fostering new ideas and transforming them into successful business ventures.
Upon completing the program, participants will have the opportunity to become technology entrepreneurs and receive grant and investment support. Sixty teams of scientists — including doctors, biotechnologists, pharmacologists, and chemists — have already started working on projects. To test ideas and develop technologies, SPCPU provides program participants with access to modern laboratories, technical resources, and facilities. The university, ranked among the top 100 universities in Russia by Forbes, offers participants access to advanced knowledge and practical skills.
