On September 19-20, specialists of the OSMU Department of Pediatrics (Advanced Level), including Postgraduate Training Courses, took part in the National Scientific Conference with international participation «Drug treatment and nutrition in pediatrics» in Irkutsk. The event was held with the support of the Union of Pediatricians of Russia, Scientific Center of Family Health Problems and Human Reproduction, Russian Scientific Center of Surgery named after Academician B.V. Petrovsky, and Pirogov Russian National Research Medical University.
Representatives of OSMU made two reports: «Different genesis obesity in children. Prader-Willi syndrome: difficulties of diagnosis, features of management, prospects of treatment (clinical case)» by Prof. Elena B. PAVLINOVA, MD, PhD, Head of the Department of Pediatrics (Advanced Level), including Postgraduate Training Courses, Assoc. Prof. Natalia Yu. VLASENKO, MD, PhD, Assoc. Prof. Olga A. SAVCHENKO, MD, PhD, of. Asst. Tatiana A. YUDITSKAYA, MD, PhD, and «Cystic fibrosis: new diagnostic and treatment options» by Elena B. PAVLINOVA.
Vladimir N. LIPPERT, PhD student of the Department of Pediatrics (Advanced Level), including Postgraduate Training Courses, was awarded the 1-st place diploma for his report «Comparative analysis of the use of various methods for detecting myocardial hypertrophy in children with essential hypertension» (scientific advisor - Elena B. PAVLINOVA) presented in the competition of scientific works of young scientists.
