On March 20-21, OSMU representatives took part in the IV Russian Scientific Conference with international participation "Student Sports in the Modern World", which was at Peter the Great St. Petersburg Polytechnic University. The main purpose of the Conference was intensifying international scientific and innovative cooperation to solve urgent problems of physical education of youth and student sports in Russia. Prof. Philip V. SALUGIN, PhD (in Pedagogy), Honored Master of Sports of Russian Federation, Professor of the OSMU Department of Physical Culture, and Anna SEDELNIKOVA, a 3rd-year student of the OSMU Faculty of General Medicine, had the opportunity to talk on this topic not only with representatives of the regions of Russia, but also the Republic of Belarus, as well as Azerbaijan and Egypt.
The program of the Conference included a plenary session discussing topical issues of student sports and innovations, breakout reports – one of them "Peculiarities of the psycho-emotional state of kickboxers" was made by OSMU representatives, as well as master classes on drone racing and simulated shooting using a tactical simulator.
