The 2nd National Interdisciplinary Congress on Continuous Professional Education for Healthcare Workers

From December 13 to 15, 2023, the 2nd National Interdisciplinary Congress on Continuous Professional Education for Healthcare Workers took place at the Crocus Expo International Exhibition Center in Krasnogorsk, Moscow Region.
 
Congress clusters included general practice, surgery, pediatrics, healthcare management, and diagnostics. The event served as a platform to unite experts from various medical fields to improve the quality of health education and exchange experiences.
 
The Congress program covered various topics related to medicine development, adoption of cutting-edge technologies, and treatment methods contributing significantly to addressing challenges in the national healthcare system.
 
OSMU was represented by Elena B. PAVLINOVA, MD, PhD, Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs, Professor, Head of the Department of Pediatrics (Advanced Level), including Professional Training Courses, Svetlana A. BARASHKOVA, DMD, PhD, Head of the Department of Management and Academic Quality Assessment, Dmitry B. AVDEEV, PhD in Veterinary Sciences, Assoc. Professor of the Department of Histology, Cytology, and Embryology.
 
Several burning topics were discussed across different platforms. In the healthcare management cluster, discussions revolved around AI in medical education, modern pedagogical technologies and teaching methods in medical education. The surgery cluster addressed topics such as AI in the diagnosis of colorectal cancer, prostate biopsy under the guidance of histoscan. During the Conference of the Young Scientists, discussions covered the issue of AI usage for young researchers, and the challenges of balancing teaching, scientific research, and medical practice.
