On February 13, a delegation from Osh State University (OshSU), Kyrgyz Republic, represented by Aynura T. TURSUNBAEVA, Chairperson of the Academic Affairs and Didactics Council, and Dinara Zh. ZHOOBASAROVA, Deputy Dean for International Relations, visited the OSMU Department of Neurology and Neurosurgery, including Postgraduate Training Course, the OSMU Department of Internal Medicine (Advanced Level) and Endocrinology. Additionally, representatives of OshSU met with Prof. Maria A. LIVZAN, OSMU Rector, Vice-Rectors, and members of the University's rectorate.
The main aim of the first meeting between Universities' representatives was to enhance international cooperation, focusing on the agreement on the online form of education in Pharmacy. During the visit, guests toured the campus, OSMU clinic, classrooms of the International Faculty, Building for Forensic Medicine and Morbid Anatomy, and were briefed on the medical education platform. The key result was building contacts, getting to know teaching staff, discussing online education details, and expressing mutual interest in long-term collaboration.
Welcoming the foreign colleagues, Maria A. LIVZAN noted that international cooperation with Universities of Central Asia is one of the current priorities of OMSU. She also outlined the proposed topics for cooperation, including key areas of dynamic development in medical education.
During the visit, guests met Prof. Valeriy I. LARKYN, Head of the Department of Neurology and Neurosurgery, including Postgraduate Training Course, and Prof. Natalia A. MOROVA, Head of the Department of Internal Medicine (Advanced Level) and Endocrinology. Professors covered various aspects, including Departments equipment, practice facilities, educational programs, student activities, and job prospects for graduates. The Osh State University delegation members explored the facilities provided for OshSU students at our University, as fifteen of them recently started their studies at the OMSU Faculty of General Medicine. The visit's outcome will involve exchanging academic experience, integrating science into clinical practice, and training high-skilled healthcare specialists.
