The II International Scientific and Educational Conference Was Held in the Republic of Kazakhstan

The 2nd International Scientific and Educational Conference dedicated to the innovative technologies in perinatology, pediatrics, pediatric surgery, and maternal and child health took place in Turkestan, Kazakhstan. The event was held jointly with the Kazakh-Russian Medical University, the International Academy of Pediatrics and Pediatric Surgery, and the 5P Pediatric Medicine Consortium in a hybrid format. This year, the theme of the scientific meeting was "Interdisciplinary Expert Consensus in the Treatment of Pediatric Diseases." The Conference brought together leading specialists from Kazakhstan, Russia, the USA, Uzbekistan, China, and Belarus, as well as international scientists and practicing physicians.
 
OSMU was represented by Prof. Elena B. Pavlinova, MD, Dr Sci (in Medicine), OSMU Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs. She co-moderated the section "Respiratory Diseases: Diagnosis, Therapy, and Prevention" and made a report entitled "Modern Approaches to the Diagnosis and Treatment of Bronchopulmonary Dysplasia in Children."
 
The scientific platform provided a unique opportunity to share professional experience, analyze current achievements, and develop consolidated solutions to the most burning issues in children's health. Master classes from leading specialists in their respective fields, as part of specially prepared clinical discussions, were held directly at the Regional Perinatal Center No. 3 and Children’s Hospital.
 
Since 2024, OSMU has been a member of the "5P Children's Medicine" Consortium, a new permanent communication platform and unified educational environment for scientific and expert discussions on pediatrics and pediatric surgery, as well as for developing effective solutions to improve the quality of medical care for children in the Russian Federation. Consortium members, including the Veltischev Institute, Research Clinical Institute of Childhood, the N.P. Bochkov Medical Genetics Research Center, and the G.N. Gabrichevsky Moscow Research Institute of Epidemiology and Microbiology, conduct joint research, organize scientific and educational events, produce scientific literature, conduct telemedicine consultations, and refer patients for specialized treatment.
