From November 28 to December 2, 2022, the International Youth Forum «Science Week - 2022» took place at Stavropol State Medical University. Annually the event attracts students, PhD students and young researchers from Russia and other countries.
As part of the National Conference for Students and Young Scientists, young pediatricians presented their reports on current issues of pediatric diseases. In the student section, OSMU was represented by the 6th-year students of the Faculty of Pediatrics: Kristina D. KUZMINA («The course of the early neonatal period in newborns from COVID-infected mothers»), Mikhail Yu. LOMASHKEVICH («Acute alcohol poisoning in children: epidemiological analysis and clinical features»), Valeria I. TONKIKH («The clinical course of mild hemophilia in children»)
Anastasia I. SHALKINA, a 2nd year pediatric resident, represented OSMU in a section for young scientists. She presented a report entitled «Physical activity of children and adolescents with type 1 diabetes mellitus and modern methods of its assessment», made in collaboration with Yulia A. KSENZENKO, a 6th-year student of the Faculty of Pediatrics, and Pavlina V. KUZNETSOVA, a pediatric endocrinologist, supervised by Natalia Yu. VLASENKO, MD, PhD, Prof. Assoc. of the Department of Pediatrics (Postgraduate Course).
