
The Interregional Scientific Conference «Socially Significant Infections and Comorbid Conditions» was held at the Dalmatov Infectious Diseases Clinical Hospital №1. The event was organized by the Ministry of Health of the Omsk Region, OSMU, the Center for AIDS and Infectious Diseases Prevention and Control, the Regional Clinical Tuberculosis Dispensary, the Clinical Tuberculosis Dispensary, the Omsk Branch of the Russian Society of Infectious Disease Specialists, and the Dalmatov Infectious Diseases Clinical Hospital №1.
In her opening remarks, Prof. Anna V. MORDYK, MD, Dr Sci (in Medicine), Head of the Department of Phthisiology, Pulmonology and Infectious Diseases, emphasized that the Conference aimed to facilitate experience-sharing among specialized institutions involved in the planning, implementation, and integration of research results in pediatric and adolescent phthisiology. The event also sought to outline scientific priorities for the development of new technologies in the field. The scientific program was designed for practicing phthisiologists, related specialists, and medical residents.
Speakers presented on key issues in the epidemiology, prevention, detection, diagnosis, and treatment of tuberculosis, including in children. Topics included modern approaches to pathogenetic therapy, diagnostic and treatment strategies for tuberculosis in patients with diabetes mellitus, the impact of various bronchopulmonary and cardiovascular diseases on TB progression and treatment complexity, immune response characteristics in TB patients, and the influence of comorbid conditions on immune reactivity and methods of correction. The research presented demonstrated the practical value of applying current scientific data in clinical settings.
