The Interuniversity Scientific Conference with International Participation «Current Issues in Disaster Medicine»

On May 13, 2024, the Interuniversity Scientific Conference with International Participation «Current Issues in Disaster Medicine» was held, organized by the OSMU Department of Extreme and Evidence Based Medicine, with the support of the OSMU Scientific Society for Young Scientists and Students. The co-organizers of the conference included the Omsk branch of the International Academy of Environmental and Life Protection Sciences, headed by Leonid L. SHULKIN, MD, PhD, Academician of the International Academy of Environmental and Life Protection Sciences, and the Department of Disaster Medicine at Orenburg State Medical University, represented by Associate Professor Sergei V. VYALTSIN, MD, PhD.
 
It has become an annual tradition for cadets from the Military Academy of Logistics, named after Army General A.V. Khrulev, to participate with reports. They presented their research in both the international section (including cadets from the Republic of Burundi and Mongolia) and the «Man and Environment» section, focusing on issues of environmental monitoring of habitat pollution by military vehicle exhaust gases. The winner among the cadets' research was Evgeniy LISOV, supervised by Associate Professor Olga V. SELEZNEVA, PhD in Pedagogy.
 
In the «Disaster Medicine» section, 5th- and 6th-year students from the medical and dental faculties presented their scientific works and posters. The winner in this section was Elena LOGINOVA, a 6th-year student of the Faculty of General Medicine, supervised by Natalia V. SEMENOVA, MD, PhD, Associate Professor of the Department of Extreme and Evidence Based Medicine. Congratulations to the winners and participant!
