On January 20, 2021 the first time this year Omsk Academy of the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) held the meeting of the Council of Rectors chaired by Prof. Maria A. LIVZAN, Rector of OSMU. The meeting was also attended by Tatiana V. DERNOVA, Deputy Chairperson of the Government of the Omsk Region, Minister of Education of the Omsk Region, and Ilya V. LOZING, Deputy Head of the Center for Countering Extremism Department of the MIA Administration for the Omsk Region.
Sergey K. BURYAKOV, Head of the Omsk Academy of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Police Major-General dedicated his report to the prevention of extremism (terrorism) among the students of Omsk universities, which was a main topic of the meeting.
In accordance with the agenda two more issues were discussed: students’ entrepreneurship, presented by Vasiliy F. FEFELOV, Vice-Rector for Scientific and Innovative Activities, Omsk State Technical University, and the forthcoming 53th Interregional Scientific Conference for Schoolchildren and Students, presented by Ruslan Yu. SIMANCHEV, Chairperson, Council of Students’ Scientific Society «Poisk», which was created a half a century ago and now unites over ten thousand schoolchildren, two thousand teachers and hundreds of scientists, collaborating with top Omsk scientific organizations, universities, and the Omsk branch of the Russian Geographical Society.
