The National Scientific Conference «Modern Issues in Natural Sciences and Medicine: Human Beings and Their Health»

On November 21, 2025, the OSMU Department of Biology, under the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation, hosted the thematic section «Biological Aspects of Acute and Chronic Intoxication» as part of the National Scientific Conference with international participation entitled «Modern Issues in Natural Sciences and Medicine: Human Beings and Their Health».

The session featured oral scientific presentations by students, young researchers, and teachers. Participants included students from various Faculties of OSMU and Dostoevsky Omsk State University, as well as young scientists from the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine at Stolypin Omsk State Agrarian University.

The primary aim of the event was to engage early-career researchers in addressing urgent scientific challenges in the fields of toxicology, occupational and environmental hygiene, and assessing human health under the influence of chemical factors.

Student presentations took the form of a dialogue held in an atmosphere of collegiality and encouragement, yet with high standards for research justification, accuracy, independence, and the theoretical and practical relevance of the studies presented. The reports covered a broad range of topics, reflecting the current interests of today's students and sparking great interest and discussion among the audience.

Throughout the event, participants demonstrated genuine curiosity, posed thoughtful questions, and actively contributed to the discussions. Many attendees found the speakers’ enthusiasm contagious and expressed a desire to present at similar conferences in the future.

The expert jury evaluated presentations on cutting-edge topics, including: novel approaches to the diagnosis, prevention, and treatment of acute and chronic poisoning by chemical agents; advanced methods for toxicity assessment (in vitro, in vivo, and in silico); developments in analytical toxicology; and the application of omics technologies in medicine, pharmacology, and toxicology.

At the conclusion of the Conference, Larisa V. CHERNAYA, Chairperson of the Organizing Committee, Head of the OSMU Department of Biology, congratulated all presenters on their successful contributions and wished them continued success in their scientific endeavors.
