On February 13, the OSMU Main Building hosted the Regional Inter-University Quiz «Russian Science Day: New Frontiers of Scientific Research», with the participation of 18 teams from various universities and schools in the city.
Among the guests were students from different Universities and Colleges, including the Omsk branch of the Financial University, Omsk State Pedagogical University, Omsk Institute of Water Transport, Siberian Law University, Omsk State Transport University, OSMU student conductor squad «Nigh Shift», OSMU College, F.M. Dostoevsky Omsk State University, Omsk State Pedagogical University.
Many of the participants visited our University for the first time, and for some of them, the opportunity to study here is a dream come true! Despite their youth, the schoolchildren demonstrated a high level of knowledge and even took one of the prize places. The team from the Multidisciplinary Educational Center for Gifted Development № 117 took second place. The first place went to the student team from OSMU, and the third place was taken by the team from Omsk State Technical University.
The quiz not only allowed participants to expand their knowledge but also provided enjoyment from the game, an opportunity to meet new people, and to see the historical sites of our University. For many schoolchildren, this served as a stimulus for choosing their future profession.
At the end of the event, the results were announced, and the possibility of holding similar events in the future was discussed. The guests expressed positive feedback about the quiz and suggested making it a tradition in the region.
