OSMU participated in the VIII International Medical Forum «The Science of Conquering... Diseases», held at the M. Gorky Donetsk State Medical University.
Over the course of two days, participants engaged in discussions on the advancement of priority areas in medicine and the implementation of innovative technologies. The Forum included 30 thematic sections that explored various aspects of fundamental and practical healthcare, as well as challenges in higher education pedagogy. Participants presented their abstracts and reports, actively engaging with attendees in meaningful discussions.

This year, the Forum was held in a hybrid format, enabling a large number of speakers and participants to engage. It brought together representatives from relevant institutions, leading scientists, experts, and practitioners from 30 regions of Russia, as well as researchers from neighboring and distant countries including Belarus, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Azerbaijan, Mongolia, Syria, China, Jordan, India, and the Republic of Ghana.

At the session entitled «Modern Aspects of Radiodiagnostics in Medicine», OSMU was represented by Galina N. DOROVSKIKH, MD, PhD, Prof. of the OSMU Department of Anesthesiology and Intensive Care, including Postgraduate Training Courses, Head of the Radiodiagnostics Department at Emergency Clinical Hospital №1, Honored Doctor of Russia, Chief External Specialist in Radiology and Instrumental Diagnostics of the Ministry of Health of the Omsk Region. Her presentation «Neuroimaging in Degenerative Diseases of the CNS: A Radiologist’s Perspective», garnered significant interest from specialists. Given the prevalence of degenerative diseases of the nervous system, the topic proved highly relevant, highlighting the critical role of neuroimaging in diagnosing potentially treatable conditions.

- The Forum served as a major platform for dialogue within the medical community. It enhanced the efficiency of fundamental and clinical research, fostered innovation, strengthened creative ties with international universities and research organizations, and advanced the quality of medical education, - noted Prof. Galina N.
