The XXV International Scientific Forum of Students and Young Scientists "Youth Scientific Creativity in the Medical and Biological Education: 25 Years of Tradition and Development" was held at the Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University named after Boris Yeltsin as part of the "Days of Medical Science of KRSU".
The Forum brought together over 150 students and young scientists from medical universities of Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, and Russia, becoming a significant interuniversity scientific and educational platform for professional dialogue, academic exchange, and the dissemination of best research practices. OSMU students of the Faculty of Dentistry, Polina KAZACHUK, Inna NALBANDYAN, and Nikita PELYAK, participated in the "Dentistry" section. Following the competition, Polina Kazachuk and Inna Nalbandyan's work was awarded a first-place diploma, and Nikita Pelyak's research project took third place. The research was conducted under the supervision of Irina M. VOLOSHINA, DMD, Dr Sci (in Medicine), Prof. of the Department of Preventive Dentistry.
Participation in such international scientific forums is a key step of the professional development of future doctors. Research activities develop students' competencies in critical analysis, academic argumentation, and independent search and interpretation of scientific information, which form the foundation of modern medical practice, meanwhile it also contributes to the development of presentation and communication skills. These competencies are now considered an integral part of training competitive healthcare professionals. Interuniversity scientific connections are particularly valuable, expanding the educational space, stimulating academic mobility, and creating conditions for the integration of young researchers into the international scientific community. For the faculty and the university as a whole, it strengthens scientific authority and serves as a strategic development resource, ensuring the continuity of medical school traditions and the introduction of innovative educational approaches.
We congratulate the students and their supervisor on their well-deserved results and wish them further professional achievements, new research initiatives, and breakthroughs in science.
