Topical Issues in Natural Sciences in Medicine

On April 28-30, 2026, Omsk State Medical University hosted the National Scientific Conference with international participation "Topical Issues in Natural Sciences in Medicine". The conference is aimed to identify and support talented students, young scientists and teachers in research activity and building professional networks.

Students acquired new knowledge and research skills: they analyzed and summarized literature, conducted experimental studies, and made conclusions.

The conference was attended by students, PhD students and teaching staff from Omsk State Medical University, Omsk State Pedagogical University, Omsk State Agrarian University, Omsk State University, Omsk Armored Engineering Institute, and universities of Moscow, the Leningrad Region, Kursk, and the Republic of Kazakhstan.

The conference was organized by OSMU Departments of Chemistry; Biology; and Physics, Mathematics and Health Informatics.

The conference was divided into nine sections:

"Innovations in Medicine", "Current Aspects of Human Health", "Biogenic Elements and Human Health", "Modern Problems of Medical Physics and Informatics", "Current Issues in Chemistry in Dentistry", "Biologically Active Organic Substances in the Structure-Reactivity-Function System", "Food Chemistry", "Study of the Composition of Biological Fluids and Natural Objects", and "Chemistry and Ecology". In the framework of the conference, the "Chemistry and Medicine" poster competition took place.

In total, the conference was attended by 418 students, PhD students and teaching staff. A total of 54 scientific papers were presented. The event provided a platform for scientific advancement, the exchange of experience, and the search for solutions to improve human health.

The conference was held in a welcoming atmosphere, with the jury evaluating both the content (consistency of the scientific framework, relevance, and scientific novelty) and the presentation of the paper (structure and logic of presentation, answers to questions, technical design of the presentation, and adherence to the rules).

We congratulate the winners and wish them continued success in their scientific endeavors!
