Topical issues of pediatric endocrinology: scientific achievements and real clinical practice

 
On April 7, a scientific conference of pediatric endocrinologists of the Siberian Federal District "Topical issues of pediatric endocrinology: scientific achievements and real clinical practice" was held. The event was held with coverage of various topics, analysis of clinical cases, and presentation of interesting cases.
 
The importance of the topic raised at the conference and the issues under consideration were noted in the speech of Prof. M. A. LIVZAN, MD, PhD, OSMU Rector, corresponding member of the Russian Academy of Sciences. The event brought together leading specialists in pediatric endocrinology from Moscow, Omsk, Tomsk, Novosibirsk, and Krasnoyarsk.
 
During the plenary part, listeners could learn some theoretical approaches to pediatric endocrinology and see demonstrations of interesting cases. The first report of the plenary part on pediatric diabetes was made by Tatyana E. TARANUSHENKO, MD, PhD, Head of the Department of Pediatrics of the Krasnoyarsk State Medical University, Chief External Specialist in Pediatric Endocrinology of the Siberian Federal District. The second report of the plenary part entitled "Management of patients with cystic fibrosis in a multidisciplinary aspect" was prepared by Elena B. PAVLINOVA, MD, PhD, Head of the Pediatrics Department (Advanced course). Natalia Yu. VLASENKO, MD, PhD, Prof. Assoc. of Pediatrics Department (Advanced course), Chief External Specialist in Pediatric Endocrinology of the Ministry of Health of the Omsk Region, spoke about the children's endocrinological service of the Omsk region, the results of its activities and achievements. Some of the reports were made by practicing doctors.
 
After the plenary part, the work of the conference moved into the format of symposiums with different topics: "Updated approaches to insulin therapy in pediatric practice: trends-2023", "Pediatric endocrinology: successes and problems", "Diabetes mellitus: from monitoring to management", "To a pediatrician from an endocrinologist ".
 
OSMU was represented at the symposiums by Natalia Yu. VLASENKO and Tatiana A. YUDITSKAYA, MD, PhD, head of the department of endocrinology department of the Omsk Regional Children’s Clinical Hospital, assistant of the Pediatrics Department (Advanced course).
 
The Scientific Conference of Pediatric Endocrinologists of the Siberian Federal District has become a landmark scientific phenomenon in the life of not only OSMU. It allowed researchers to share knowledge, practitioners - new research, and it also allowed students and residents to join the scientific potential of the pediatric endocrinology community.
