On October 28-30, Interregional Training for Medical Volunteers and First Aid Instructors took place at Pirogov Russian National Research Medical University (Moscow). The event attracted volunteers from many Regions, including Omsk. OSMU was represented by Yaroslav BARANOV and Kristina PRONINA, Volunteers of the «First Aid and Medical Support» branch.
On the first day, students participated in an open talk on burning issues of first aid and listened to a lecture on psychological support for the acute stress reaction.
The second day was just as intense as the previous one! Volunteers attended a lecture on the development strategy for the «First Aid and Medical Support» branch in the Region. Students learned about the organization of first aid training and the four steps of emergency care, took part in the «Assessment of first aid skills for unconsciousness and no breathing» training, and participated in a master class on public speaking.
On the final day, students successfully passed the exam and received a Certificate confirming the title of First Aid Instructor, and attended the closing ceremony of the event. «We would like to express our gratitude to OSMU Administration, organizers, and coaches for the opportunity to attend this event, and gain a piece of great knowledge and experience. And we will surely take part in upcoming trainings and forums to help our branch evolve!» - said Daria PINEKER, Coordinator of the «First Aid and Medical Support» branch.
