On January 25, 2024, in the framework of the International Interfaith Conference of the Spiritual Administration of Muslims of Siberia, OSMU was visited by the delegation from the Kyrgyz Republic, including parliamentarians Aibek T. MATKERIMOV and Marlen A. MAMATALIEV, Consul General of Kyrgyzstan in Novosibirsk Aibek A. AIDARBEKOV, Consul of the Consulate General of Kyrgyzstan in Novosibirsk Azamat A. ABLAEV, Honorary Consul of Kyrgyzstan in Omsk Nursultan Isabek uulu, and representatives of the Supreme Council of Kyrgyzstan Shamil S. DUISHENBAEV and Chatyrkul B. BEKISHEVA.
This visit became the path forward towards the development of relations established between OSMU and the educational and scientific institutions of the Kyrgyz Republic over the past three years. During their visits to the Kyrgyz Republic, OSMU representatives visited the scientific and educational institutions, held meetings with the administration and scientists, and discussed areas of cooperation. Upon reaching a consensus, the cooperation agreements were signed with the Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University named after B. N. Yeltsin and the Osh State University.
On the part of OSMU, the new vectors in the development of long-term partnerships were discussed by Prof. Maria A. LIVZAN, MD, PhD, Rector of OSMU, Corresponding Member of RAS; Andrey S. KOLCHIN, MD, PhD, Vice-Rector for Postgraduate Education; Prof. Olga V. KORPACHEVA, MD, PhD, Vice-Rector for Research; Ivan A. ONUFRIEV, Vice-Rector for Security, Technical Support, Maintenance and Repair of the University facilities; Marina M. KARDAEVA, OSMU College Director; Dmitry M. VYUSHKOV, MD, PhD, Head of the Oncology and Radiotherapy, including Postgraduate Training Courses, Department; Assoc. Prof. Ekaterina S. VASILEVSKAYA, PhD in Pharmacy, Head of the Pharmacy Department; and Svetlana A. PISKLAKOVA, Head of the International Affairs Department. During the meeting, the following questions were considered: organization of advanced training for employees of medical institutions of the Kyrgyz Republic on the basis of OSMU, academic mobility, pre-entry training of applicants from the Kyrgyz Republic, and the implementation of educational programs in a network format.
