On May 26, the VI Brain Ring Competition «Vivat, Dentistry!» for the 4th-5th year students took place at Medical Academy named after S. I. Georgievsky (Simferopol). The event attracted participants from 3 countries (Russia, Belarus, Uzbekistan) and 5 cities (Simferopol, Kirov, Omsk, Minsk, and Tashkent).
The Brain Ring Competition «Vivat, Dentistry!» is an interdisciplinary game for students, aimed at improving professional expertise in preventive dentistry, developing clinical reasoning, and shaping teamwork skills.
Welcoming remarks were delivered by Prof. Svetlana A. DEMIYANENKO, MD, PhD, Head of the Department of Dentistry and Orthodontics (Medical Academy named after S. I. Georgievsky), Prof. Olga E. BEKZHANOVA, MD, PhD, Head of the Department of Preventive Dentistry (Tashkent State Dental Institute), Prof. Assoc. Svetlana N. GROMOVA, MD, PhD, Head of the Department of Dentistry, Dean of the Dentistry Faculty (Kirov State Medical University), Prof. Larissa M. LOMIASHVILI, MD, PhD, Dean of the Dentistry Faculty (OSMU), and Prof. Lyudmila A. KAZEKO, MD, PhD, Head of the Department of Conservative Dentistry (Belarusian State Medical University).
The opening ceremony was followed by a competition, where the teams presented themselves and competed in the Brain Ring. According to the results of the competition, the OSMU team «Smile» was awarded 1st place!
At the end of the event, Svetlana A. DEMYANENKO, Chairperson of the Organizing Committee, expressed her gratitude to the teams for their excellent teamwork and an original approach to tasks solving!
