World Pneumonia Day is celebrated every year on November 12. The leadership for it provides the Global Coalition Against Child Pneumonia, the association of international, governmental, non-governmental, and local organizations, research and educational institutions, foundations, and citizen activists. The Coalition aims to draw the attention of government officials, health professionals, and potential donors to the problem of pneumonia, as well as to intensify the fight against this disease using complex measures.
