On March 2-3, Jubilee XXX International Congress «Innovative Technologies in Dentistry» organized by Russian Dental Association, Omsk Regional Dental Association, Ministry of Public Health of the Omsk Region, Omsk State Medical University, and the International Dentistry College, took place online.
The dentists from Ireland, Moldova, Bulgaria, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, and 21 Russian cities gathered together under the unifying slogan «Medicine without Borders».
«The most prominent representatives in the international scientific community from Khabarovsk to Dublin introduced a total of 41 reports. Participants of the event shared the latest knowledge and gave an update on the most recent accomplishments from the dentistry field», noted Prof. Larisa M. LOMIASHVILI, Dean of the Faculty of Dentistry, in her opening speech.
Valery K. LEONTIEV, Academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences (Moscow) was the guest speaker of the Congress. His report «Quality of medical and dental care: control and regulation options» was devoted to the management of highly qualified dental care.
Prof. O. E. BEKZHANOVA, Head of the Department of Preventive Dentistry, Tashkent State Institute of Dentistry (Uzbekistan), presented a report on the condition of the oral cavity in patients with COVID-19 and during the post-COVID period.
Prof. Assoc. A. I. POSTOLACHI, Ilarion Postolachi Department of Dentistry, Nicolae Testemițanu State University of Medicine and Pharmacy (Chisinau, Republic of Moldova), told about the microarchitectonics of permanent teeth in healthy people, patients with caries and after odontopreparation.
N. A. ORLOVA, author of the KidsDental IQ method, Gestalt therapist, child psychologist (Dublin, Ireland), presented her study «KidsDental IQ: preventing tears and persuasion in pediatric dental visits».
Prof. M. DIMOVA-GABROVSKA, Department of Prosthetic Dentistry, Faculty of Dental Medicine, Sofia Medical University (Sofia, Bulgaria), devoted her report to the issue of restoring damaged teeth in children using fixed prosthetic methods.
Prof. Assoc. V. R. DETOCHKINA, Department of Dentistry and Maxillofacial Surgery, Medical University (Nur-Sultan, Kazakhstan), shared her experience of using bacteriophages in the complex treatment of oral mucosa diseases.
Reports of Russian scientists from Perm, Yekaterinburg, Simferopol, and many other cities caught the attention of the listeners. The teaching staff of the Faculty of Dentistry, Omsk State Medical University, presented 28 reports, sharing their knowledge in the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of dental diseases.
International e-Congress «Innovative Technologies in Dentistry» became a significant scientific event in the life of the Faculty of Dentistry and Omsk State Medical University, allowed leading specialists to exchange ideas, and introduced students to the global dental community.
