Physics, Mathematics and Health Informatics Department was established in 1922. Prof. Vasily D. DUDETSKY, a graduate of the Physics and Mathematics Faculty of Saint Petersburg University, headed the Department from 1922 to 1930.
From 1930 to 1931, the Department was led by Mikhail E. GERKE.
From 1931 to 1933, Nikolay E. OTTE, a graduate of the Faculty of Physics and Mathematics, M.V. Lomonosov Moscow State University, headed the Department.
From 1933 to 1963, the Department was led by Valentin V. KOLOSOV, a graduate of M.I. Kalinin Omsk Medical Institute.
From 1963 to 1987, Assoc. Prof. Vasiliy S. VERBANOV, MD, PhD, also a graduate of M.I. Kalinin Omsk Medical Institute headed the Department.
From 1987 to 2006, Assoc. Prof. Yuriy A. KORNEEV, PhD in Biology, a graduate of the Faculty of Physics and Mathematics, Omsk State Pedagogical University, led the Department.
