Since 1928 radiology has been taught at the Department of Surgery (Intermediate Level). Later in 1955, the Department of Radiodiagnostics was established.
In different periods the Department was headed by:
1955-1967 – Assoc. Prof. Ivan D. ZAKHAROV, MD, PhD. He focused his scientific interests on the X-ray diagnostics of osteoarticular diseases
1967-1975 – Assoc. Prof. Abram P. IZAAK, MD, PhD. His scientific research was aimed at studying the gastrointestinal disorders in various parasitic diseases
1975-2003 – Prof. Vyacheslav P. NOVAIKOV, MD, PhD. His main scientific interest was the radiodiagnostics of osteoarticular diseases
Since 2003 – Prof. Yuriy T. IGNATIEV, MD, PhD, continued to study the radiodiagnostics of osteoarticular diseases. He headed the Department from 2003 to 2020.
