The Department of Medical Rehabilitation was established in 2003 at the Rehabilitation Center «Omsky». Prof. Galina S. DUBILEI, MD, PhD was assigned as a first Head of the Department. She had the qualification and experience in the fields of medical gymnastics and cardiology and was keen on medical rehabilitation.
Since September 2016 the Department has been led by Prof. Vadim A. AKHMEDOV, MD, PhD, a specialist in the field of internal medicine and gastroenterology, one of the founders of the Omsk Association for Rehabilitation Physicians.
Currently, the Department is based at the Rehabilitation Center «Rus», Omsk Clinical Perinatal Center and Omsk Regional Clinical Hospital.
Staff of the Department is cooperating with the Omsk Clinical Medical Surgical Center, the Omsk Medical Rehabilitation Center, Sports Club «Avangard», Medical Sports Clinic, Omsk Canis-Therapy Center «Give me a paw, my friend!», Health Resorts «Kolos» and «Oazis-Euromed», and other medical organizations of Omsk and Omsk Region.
