Brief History

The Department was established in 1922 headed by Nikolai V. VERSHININ, a founder of the Siberian School of Pharmacologists.
 
In 1957-1974, the Department was led by Vikentiy P. GOVOROV, who equipped the Department with modern facilities and medical appliances and actively initiated the research on the pharmacodynamics of cardioactive drugs and their combinations with other groups of medicaments.
 
In 1988-1990, the Department was headed by Assoc. Prof. Georgy P. CHERNYSHEV, fluent in two foreign languages he successfully represented our country working as a scientific advisor at the Pharmacology Departments of Universities in Addis Ababa (Ethiopia), Santiago de Cuba (Republic of Cuba), and Ulan Bator (Mongolia).
 
In 2005-2019, the Department was led by Assoc. Prof. Sergey V. SKALSKII, who in his practical and scientific work dealt with issues of pharmaceutical science in the Siberian Region.
 
Since 2019, Assoc. Prof. Stella G. FOMINYKH, MD, PhD, has been a Head of the Department.
