Brief History

Upon establishment of the Faculty of Pharmacy in OSMU the Pharmacy Department was set up in 2002 headed by Prof. Alexander V. GRISHIN, PhD in Pharmacy. For a short period of time, the Department of Pharmacy, with the active support of the administration of OSMU, has already formed a significant material and technical base. In addition, the Department independently prepares and publishes teaching aids for students. The staff of the Department is actively engaged in the formation of a modern scientific pharmaceutical school. The complex scientific topics of the Department are united under the general direction: “Studying the socio-economic problems of the regional system for organizing drug care for the population of the Omsk region and developing methods to increase its effectiveness.” During the development of the department, five PhD theses were defended. Employees of the department widely involve students in scientific activities, thereby forming their creative approach to mastering the profession. It can be noted that the Department is already forming the continuity of generations.
